Slot Tube Rubber Strip
The Slot Tube Rubber Strip is the profiled rubber that sits in the slot of the UNIKIM slot tube and U cap rail. It holds the tube firmly on the glass, takes up tolerances and keeps metal away from the glass edge.
The UNIKIM 2024 catalogue (pages 13 and 17) lists three widths – MOD 0842 for 24 mm slots (tube Ø42.4), MOD 0848 for 27 mm slots (Ø48.3) and MOD 0860 for 34 mm slots (Ø60.3) – each for several glass thicknesses.

Applications
Glazing slot tube handrails and U cap rails on frameless glass balustrades; replacement rubber when glass is changed.
Installation notes
- Choose the strip by slot width (24, 27 or 34 mm) and your exact glass thickness.
- Press the strip into the slot over the full length, then press the tube onto the glass.
- Order one 2.5 m strip per 2.5 m of handrail.
Which strip do I need?
Example: Ø42.4 mm slot tube on 16.76 mm laminated glass → A9.0842.16.R. Ø60.3 mm tube on 25.52 mm glass → A9.0860.24.R.
