Indoor Square Glass Clamp 45×45 mm – overview

The Indoor Square Glass Clamp 45×45 mm (MOD 2020) is a compact indoor square glass clamp for balustrade panels on stairs, landings and mezzanines. It fixes the glass to a post, a wall or a handrail tube without drilling the glass.

MOD 2020 appears in the glass-thickness table on page 39 of the UNIKIM 2024 catalogue, next to the 45×45 mm MOD 2025 and MOD 2021. The difference: the MOD 2020 rubber insert has no hole for a security pin, so it is meant for indoor projects. For outdoor railings choose a clamp listed with a security pin, such as the Square Glass Clamp 55×55 mm.

Installation notes

• Glass panel height in the catalogue test set-up: 800–1,000 mm; minimum panel width 500 mm.
• Gap from handrail to top of glass, and from floor to bottom of glass: 10–50 mm (up to 120 mm with edge protection).
• Fit the clamps 100–150 mm from the top and bottom edges of the panel.

MOD 2020, 2025 or 2021?

All three are 45×45 mm square clamps for 6–10.76 mm glass. Choose MOD 2020 for a plain indoor clamp without pin hole, the Square Glass Clamp 45×45 mm (MOD 2025) for the version with pin hole, or the Square Glass Clamp 45×45 mm with Baffle Plate (MOD 2021) when you want the baffle-plate insert.

Which glass thickness does MOD 2020 fit?

Single glass 6, 8 and 10 mm and laminated glass 6.76, 8.76 and 10.76 mm, each with its matching rubber insert.

Can I use MOD 2020 outdoors?

It is meant for indoor use because its insert has no security-pin hole. For outdoor railings choose a clamp listed with a security pin, for example MOD 2022 (55×55 mm).

What is the difference between MOD 2020 and MOD 2025?

Both are 45×45 mm square clamps for the same glass. MOD 2020 has a rubber insert without hole; MOD 2025 has an insert with hole.

Is AISI 316 available?
