Slot Tube Adjustable Joint, Downward
The Slot Tube Adjustable Joint, Downward (MOD 1160) is a hinged joint for the slot tube handrail. It is set to the stair pitch on site where the handrail turns downwards – typically at the top of a stair, where the landing handrail meets the flight.

Applications
Glass stair balustrades: landing-to-flight transitions, top of stairs, split-level floors.
Installation notes
- Cut the slot tube square and deburr it; push the fitting in and fix it as shown in the installation guide (glue or screws).
- Order the fitting for the same tube size as your slot tube: Ø42.4, Ø48.3 or Ø60.3 mm.
- Fit the Slot Tube Rubber Strip (MOD 0842 / 0848 / 0860) for your glass before placing the tube on the glass.
Downward or upward?
Use MOD 1160 where the handrail turns down (top of the stair); use the Slot Tube Adjustable Joint, Upward (MOD 1170) where it turns up (bottom of the stair).
