Slot Tube Vertical Elbow 90° – overview
The Slot Tube Vertical Elbow 90° (MOD 1120) turns the slot tube handrail downwards in the vertical plane – the slot stays on the glass side, so the elbow can end the handrail at a post or carry it down beside the glass.
MOD 1120 is listed on page 14 of the UNIKIM 2024 catalogue in three sizes for slot tube Ø42.4, Ø48.3 and Ø60.3 mm (1.5 mm wall). It belongs to the Slot Tube Handrail System – all parts together with the Round Slot Tube Handrail (MOD 0300).

Applications
Ends of glass balustrade handrails turning down to a post or newel; stair balustrades; landings where the handrail drops at the end of the glass.
Installation notes
- Cut the slot tube square and deburr it; push the fitting in and fix it as shown in the installation guide (glue or screws).
- Order the fitting for the same tube size as your slot tube: Ø42.4, Ø48.3 or Ø60.3 mm.
- Fit the Slot Tube Rubber Strip (MOD 0842 / 0848 / 0860) for your glass before placing the tube on the glass.
Vertical or horizontal?
Use the vertical elbow MOD 1120 when the handrail turns down; use the Slot Tube Horizontal Corner 90° (MOD 1130) (MOD 1130) when the balustrade turns a corner in plan.
